Comments:
“W. Stowasser & / Sohne / Graslitz” on bell garland.  Two crests inside minimal engraving on bell flare.

This euphonium is one if the finest Stowasser instruments I have ever seen.  The decoration to the valve levers, rotor caps, and rotary arm caps is exquisite, and done in alternating mother-of-pearl and abalone.  Also, the braces all exhibit embossing as well.  This Stowasser was probably done for the home market, as there is no additional country of sale on the bell engraving.

We acquired this instrument with what looks like the original mouthpiece, a York mouthpiece that may have been fitted for it, the original high and low pitch tuning slides (low pitch pictured), and even the original case.
